Luan Fazliu founded the family herb business in 1990 with a single field of camomile in the Balkans. Over the next 36 years he built it into a vertical operation supplying native herbs to European brands - cultivation, hand-harvesting, drying, processing, and direct distribution to family-run apothecaries, wellness houses, and tea retailers in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
In 2026 Luan launched Balkan Tea to extend the supply chain one more step: from raw herb to finished tea bag. The Balkan Tea facility runs the HST PT-2.33 - the German-engineered double-chamber paper tea bag line - the European classic format that Luan's herb buyers have been asking him to deliver for the last decade.
The customers from 1996 are still customers in 2026. That is the only KPI I have ever cared about.
