About the show

What it is, who attends

Vitafoods Europe is the worlds leading nutraceutical, functional food, and wellness industry trade show, held annually in Geneva. Adjacent rather than core to tea, but the wellness-tea segment (sleep blends, immunity blends, gut-health blends) sources here and exhibits here.

Why it matters

Several of our Full Production clients position their tea SKUs as functional-wellness products. Vitafoods is where their buyers attend. Worth tracking ingredient trends - botanicals that show up at Vitafoods one year often appear in tea-blend RFQs the next year.

Floor plan

Halls and zones to know

Where tea, private label, and beverage buyers concentrate on the show floor.

Ingredients and Raw Materials

Botanical extracts, vitamins, minerals, plant-based actives, herbal ingredients, and functional raw materials.

Why it mattersHerbal and botanical ingredients used in functional tea blends concentrate here. Suppliers of chamomile, valerian, lemon balm, echinacea, and adaptogen extracts exhibit in this sector - useful for sourcing the functional ingredients that Full Production clients request.

Branded Finished Products

Consumer-ready nutraceutical products: supplements, functional foods, wellness beverages, and finished tea SKUs positioned as health products.

Why it mattersFunctional and wellness tea brands exhibit here, making it the best floor area to observe how competitors position herbal and functional teas, what formats they use, and what health claims they carry.

Contract Manufacturing and Private Label

CDMOs, white-label manufacturers, contract formulators, and private-label supplement producers.

Why it mattersThis is where Balkan Tea fits as an exhibitor. Contract tea co-packers with a functional or wellness positioning are concentrated in this sector. Buyers here are looking for manufacturing partners, not just ingredients.

Services and Equipment

Packaging machinery, testing labs, regulatory consultants, certification bodies, and logistics providers.

Why it mattersUseful for scouting packaging innovation and regulatory partners relevant to EU health-claim compliance on tea-based products.

Pet Nutrition Hub

New for 2026: dedicated zone for pet health and nutrition innovations.

Why it mattersLow relevance to tea co-packing. Intelligence only.

Our take

Why we think buyers should weigh this show this way

Vitafoods Europe is not a tea show - it is a nutraceutical and functional ingredient show. That distinction matters. The buyers walking the floor are sourcing botanical actives, supplement formats, and health-claim-ready finished products, not commodity tea.

For Balkan Tea, the value is narrow but real. Functional tea brands that commission Full Production work - gut-health blends, sleep sachets, immunity lines - have their buyers and competitors concentrated here. A stand in the contract manufacturing and private label sector positions us directly in front of supplement-brand procurement teams who may not have considered a Balkan tea co-packer.

Ingredient-trend intelligence from Vitafoods feeds our Full Production sourcing. Botanicals that debut as supplement ingredients at one year's show appear in tea-blend RFQs 12-18 months later.

We recommend attending as visitors first to map the buying audience before committing to exhibitor space. Exhibiting makes sense once we have two or three functional-wellness clients whose category presence at the show justifies the stand cost.
